Sinkiang Overprints on Central Trust, Chungking Sun Yat-sen issue (SYS6)

There were 3 different overprints on this issue.

To add to the complexity, there are the different papers that the basic stamps were printed on. Papers of the Sun Yat-sen Chungking Central Trust print are described in the SYS6 Papers article. There are also different perforation gauges of the basic stamps, although the stamps perforated below guage 12½ seem to have escaped the Sinkiang overprints.

  3. The two dots below the second character were not joined.
  4. The fourth character is slightly larger in width than in the Type 3 overprint.
  5. The dot a the top right of the third character is positioned with its centre approximately opposite the end of the slanting stroke next to it. Again, the Type 3 overprint shows more difference than the Type 2 overprint.
